Ingredients
2 oz rum
1 oz kahlua
1 oz spiced syrup (see below)
1 oz cream
Method: shaken with ice, strained into chilled glass
Glass: martini
Rim: cinnamon sugar
Garnish: cream floater

Shari: Similar to our Spiced White Russian, only this has more complexity from the rum. Using ginger syrup and cinnamon sugar to rim the glass lends a deeper gingerbread flavour.
Lorne: Smooth, easy to drink, with a bit of pleasant burn from the ginger. No worrying about which appendage to bite off first.
Spiced Syrup
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon molasses
1 cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Bring to boil, let steep 10 min, remove cinnamon stick. Store in fridge.
