Whiskey Sour

Ingredients
2 oz bourbon
.75 oz lemon juice
.75 oz simple syrup or ginger syrup (see below)
1/2 egg white

Method: combine ingredients in shaker, dry shake (no ice), add small amount of ice and shake again, strain into glass with fresh ice
Glass: short
Rim: none
Garnish: lemon and maraschino cherry sail

Shari: This was okay, but totally not my fave. Really preferred the Amaretto Sour. With every sip, my taste buds are still looking for the Amaretto.
Lorne: Seems like each ingredient hides the specific flavours of the other ingredients. Tastes generically alcohol-y, citrusy, and some warmth from the ginger.

Ginger Syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup ginger root pieces

Blend all in blender until smooth, strain through nut bag
