Ingredients
2 oz whiskey (bourbon)
1/4 lemon, sliced into 2 wedges
8 mint leaves
1/2 oz maple syrup
soda water (optional)
Method: muddle lemon wedges and mint, add whiskey, syrup and ice (plus soda water, if desired) and shake, then dump into chilled glass and top with crushed ice
Glass: rocks
Rim: none
Garnish: mint (slap mint on back of hand to release oils) and add straw

Shari: Another classic! Using maple syrup instead of simple syrup really complimented the bourbon and adding the soda water made it quite refreshing.
Lorne: I was expecting a really strong Bourbon taste, but was surprised (in a good way) how smooth and balanced this is. Another keeper!
